It may be called Tinsel Town, but it can also be one of the most homophobic, “Don’t ask don’t tell” places on earth…that is if you want to keep working. But those times are changing and like most the rest the world, embracing the LGBTQ community is becoming second nature, even though the community has been embracing the industry in every facet of the Hollywood experience for years.
Today we’re joined by Paolo Andino, Bear lover (of the male human species kind),out and proud working actor, voice over artist, and oil painter who’s taken the stand to be out in the glitz and glam of Hollywood, and found it’s working out just fine…even when there’ve been challenges along the way. From spirituality, to break ups and being an introvert, we discover the path he took from 11-year old catholic, Latino, school boy, to doing the stuff that’s right for him and living the life that’s right for him.
- If there are roles that he lost because he was gay, Paolo never knew about them
- He’s doing the stuff that’s right for HIM, and no one else
- Second-guessing yourself is an obstacle to avoid
- 99% of who we are is exactly the same, it’s that 1% that makes us unique
- Happiness begins with a dream of happiness!
